Andrea Bocelli knows how to carry a performance. He’s won countless awards for his incredible voice and wowed audiences from one corner of the globe to the other. But throughout all of his showstopping songs and breathtaking duets, something was missing: his wife.
That hole in his heart while on the road was finally filled when Andrea got to perform alongside his wife, Veronica Berti, for an intimate show.
Even though Andrea and Veronica’s relationship started off as purely profession, as she was his manager, things quickly heated up outside of the glare of the limelight. The two got to know each other on a more personal basis – and soon it was clear, they were going to be together forever.
As a divorcee, Andrea was nervous about saying “I do” again, so they waited more than a decade before tying the knot. When their wedding day finally rolled around, Andrea told E News that he was excited to make Veronica his wife before God, their loved ones and friends. He also explained it was an important legal matter to take care of appropriately.
“Naturally, when two people feel like we do, they want to make it a permanent arrangement. It will happen from the religious and spiritual point of view, but it is a legal matter.”
Obviously, Veronica and Andrea were a match made in musical Heaven. Not only do they have an unbelievable amount of love for one another, but they also have perfectly complimentary singing voices.
By the time they were done singing “Qualche Stupido,” everyone watching was in tears and cheering from their linen-covered tables. This was the performance of a lifetime and they got to watch it unfold before their eyes! Hopefully, the audience members realized how special their song was and how much it meant to Andrea.
