Eric Schmidt, multi-billionaire Google executive chairman and the 138th richest person in the world, has listed his guarded and gated Beverly Hills compound for a whopping $45 million after buying a gorgeous $22-million mansion on sought-after Mapleton Drive in Holmby Hills.

The stunner,dubbed “The Knoll,” the luxury Italian-style manse sits on over 5 acres of flat. Eric and Wendy Schmidt paid $39 million for two separate parcels composing the magnificent estate back in 2005 and started ample renovation work on it. Encompassing 11,000 feet, the sumptuos villa has 10 bedrooms and 17.5 baths. The main house boasts a double height foyer with domed ceiling, which leads to a spectacular living room, a domed ceiling formal dining room with marble table seating 8, a library, hair salon, wine cellar, state of the art gym, an impressive plush screening room, three offices/studies, fireplaces galore and a viewing platform. The master suite includes his and hers bathrooms and numerous closets.
