Oscar-nominated British actress Keira Knightley, mostly noted for her roles in Pirates of the Caribbean, Pride and Prejudice and Anna Karenina, together with her husband, James Righton, member of the London-based indie rock band The Klaxons, have recently moved into a lavish ‘family friendly house’ in the Canonbury conservation area in Islington, a district in Greater London and part of the London Borough. The couple paid £3.9 million ($5.9 million) for the luxury five bedroom manse which boasts a wine cellar and a lush landscaped garden. The three story mansion is sprawled over 2,775 square feet

They dumped their love nest in East London soon after their wedding in France in May 2013. They asked £3 million for the 3,222 square-foot home featuring 3-4 bathrooms and 3.5 baths. They reportedly paid £2.4 million for the 18th-century Hugenot-built residence back in 2012. There are two entrance halls, four living rooms, three and a half baths with fireplaces, three bedrooms and perhaps another one next to the master bedroom on the top level. The rear living room features an all windows and French doors wal opening to an outdoor corridor zigzagging back to a small private pa,tio. The ground level also features a small study with built-in bookcases and a fireplace, another entraance hall and a half bathroom with no windows. The old traditional-style kitchen passes through the dining room fitted with built-in cabinetry.

The couple’s East London residence was located in an artistic environment studded with noted artists and bohemians: novelist Jeanette Winterson, über-artist Tracey Emin, the art duo Gilbert & George – just to name a few.
