Christian Guardino, a 16-year-old boy has gone through so many difficulties so far in his life, that we can’t even imagine. An at early age, he was was diagnosed with Leber congenital amaurosis (LCA), a very rare retinal disease. But Christian is a hard fighter and he never gave up. He found onto music a way to escape from the cruel reality.
Fortunately, after some time a miracle happened. Christian had the opportunity to participate in an experimental gene therapy treatment what helped him to get his sight back. No matter what, Christian never gave up on his biggest passion: singing. So, after he fully recovered his sight, the 16-year-old boy decided to step on America’s Got Talent stage, where he completely stunned the judges and the whole audience with his impeccable performance.
Truly impressed by Christian’s voice and heartbreaking story as well, Simon declared: “You were like a little mouse that turned into a lion. You are one of my favorite contestants I’ve seen this year. Not only in terms of your voice. I just like you. There’s something about you, and it’s just the best possible feeling when we meet someone like you.” But, Simon wasn’t the only one moved by Cristian’s amazing performance. Howie Mandel made a decision that left the talented boy in tears.
