The expansive five-bedroom, six-bathroom estate in Ormond Beach, in Volusia County, Florida, encompassing 14,000 square feet in its entirety and set on 3.97 acres was put up for sale fully furnished for $2.5 million despite the construction costs which alone amounted to $8.9 million. Its owner, Gale Lemerand, local entrepreneur and philanthropist, has not lived in the abode for seven years as it was too big for him, according to his own confession. The luxury home features a large foyer, a lush master suite, a chef’s eat-in kitchen with high-end appliances and display cabinetry, a home theater equipped with seven custom-made recliners, billiards room, wine cellar, screened in outdoor area with pool and a guest quarters.
