Friendly Golden Retriever is obsessed with giving hugs to everyone he meets

We call them “men’s best friend,” but apparently they are everyone’s best buddy. The unconditional love they offer, the loyalty and their friendly, gentle nature make dogs some of the most adorable creatures on Earth. Needless to say no one’s brighting your day as a dog does. Even though, this adorable Golden Retriever takes it to a whole new level

Since nothing reveals better love and kindness than a hug, this dog is obsessed with giving hugs…to everyone he meets. Meet Louboutina or the Hugging Dog.

According to Cesar Fernandez-Chavez, the pup’s human companion, whenever they go for a walk it requires a lot of patience as the adorable Louboutina is greeting people with hugs and cuddles. “It’s just not a regular walk,” the owner told The Dodo. “It’s a walk with hugging. So we don’t get to go too far.”

And what’s even more interesting is that no one thought Louboutina to give hugs. She just started to do it all by her own. And what a better day to start her lovely routine then on Valentine’s Day(2014). However Louboutina has always had an affectionate nature when meeting humans. Before his hugging obsession, the cute retriever used to hold people’s hands when meeting them.

“She started sitting up and grabbing my hands with both of her paws, and then crossing the other paw over her paw,” Fernandez-Chavez said. “I remember joking with my friends, ‘At least I have someone to hold hands with during Valentine’s.'”

Now, the cute four-legged brings joy and smiles on the streets on New York City with her unique way to show her affection and love for people.

“People say she’s made their day… Like, if they had a bad day at work, maybe that’s just what they needed,” Fernandez-Chavez said. “It’s nice to see people walk away with a smile. She’s bringing them joy. It’s very rewarding.”

According to the lucky owner, a daily walk takes regularly around two hours to complete. This special way of greeting people brought Louboutina a lot of popularity on social media. So far, “the hugging dog” gained nearly 200,000 followers on Instagram.
