Boy caught sneaking into neighbor’s garage to hug their dog

Sneaking through their garage is not the best way to introduce to your neighbors. However, when this boy in Louisiana was caught on the surveillance camera trespassing onto one of his neighbors property, his intention were nothing but adorable.

When Hollie Mallet decided to set up a camera in her garage, she wanted to make sure she would find out if any possible robbers would break into her house. But when she checked the surveillance footage, she was so glad to find out a different sort of thief had sneaked inside – a determined boy who wanted to steal as many hugs as possible from her dog, Dutchess.

Of course, watching the lovely footage brought a big smile on Hollie’s face. And since that wasn’t the first time when the innocent thief had visited her property, the Louisiana-based woman decide to share the moment on Facebook. She thought she’d find out the boy’s identity in this way.

“Attn Neighbors! Anyone know who this sweet little boy is? Every now and then when he rides his bike he will quickly come and love on my dog or play fetch real quick, but always leaves quick like he doesn’t know if he should be here! I’d like to tell him he’s welcome to stay and play, she loves the attention!,” Hollie wrote in a Facebook post.

And it didn’t took too long until the “thief’s” identity was revealed, as among those who watched the adorable video was Ginger Breaux. No one but the boy’s mom. So she soon let Hollie know it is her son Josh the one she’s been looking for. “I was surprised and a little upset with him at first but at the same time my heart was full because I know how much he loves animals with dogs being at the top of his list,” the woman told The Dodo.

Since such a lovely story could only have a happy ending, Hollie invited Josh over to hang out with Dutchess as long as he wishes. “Since I’ve talked to Hollie, he’s been almost every day,” his mom said. “He’s taken a few pics with Dutchess, played fetch, laid in the yard with her in the shade, runs around the yard with her or just a quick stop to pet her and say hi.”
