Bruce Willis’ Idaho lakefront ranch – a real bargain

Die Hard star first thought of unloading his luxury Idaho ranch in 2011 for $15 million and since then it has been off and on the market , every time with its asking price chopped, until it got to just shy of $9 million.

The actor purchased the the 6-bedroom, 7-bath main residence on Flying Heart Lake north of Hailey in 2003. He refurbished the main house in 2003, building two new additions –  a detached guest house and a gym , and creating “several ponds and streams,” as well as a heated pool with “water slides, waterfall features and rope swing,” according to the 2011 February issue of Wall Street Journal. Features of the main house include log posts, 4 fireplaces – 4 indoor and 1 outdoor. Two of the stone fireplaces are placed in the sunken living room. The 2,200-sq-ft master suite comes complete with two heated decks, a jetted soaking tub and custom closet and the chef’s kitchen is fitted with a 6-burner dual oven Viking stove, 2 dishwashers and 2 Sub-Zero refrigerators.

Bruce Willis’s $20-million real estate portfolio for Sun Valley is rather impressive, also including a movie theater, night  club, bar and restaurant complex, The Mint, which he put up for sale in 2010 for $6M and then chopped its price to $4.5M, and the Soldier Mountain Ski Area in the south of Idaho. Since he didn’tmanage to spend as much time as he’d like there, the actor decided to shed all his properties in these parts so selling the 20-acre property with its 8,400-square-foot living space is part of the plan.
