Bruce Willis unloads Beverly Hills compound for $22M

After listing his Manhattan pad at $11.65 million in February 2013, famous action movie star Bruce Willis has done it again, this time his mega-compound situated in the star-studded 90210 ZIP code, at 1005 Benedict Canyon Drive, Beverly Hills, for a whopping $22 million. Built in 1928, the luxury compound sits on nearly an acre of landscaped land. The actor purchased it from producer Alan Ladd Jr. in 2004 for approximately $9 million  and, together with his wife, Emma Heming, has spared nothing to make it look what it is today.

The 10,379-square-foot walled and gated estate includes a tennis court and a fully renovated, updated and upgraded Spanish-style house with a cinema room, 11 bedroom and 11 baths. There is a double-height entry hall leading to a large formal dining room featuring wood flooring, wood burning fireplace and wood beam ceiling. The living and dining rooms have glass doors opening to an inner courtyard with stone fountain and plants. There is also an oversized enclosed loggia. The roomy kitchen boasts a lengthy center island with snack counter, tile flooring, high quality catering range cooker and state of the art appliances.

Most of the rooms overlook the inner courtyard and the back of the house opens to the backyard with swimming pool through arched glass doors. If the couple manage to get the asking price, it will be a 144 percent price increase. Not bad for these times!
