When Bethani met Tim, she know it was love at first sight. Her smile and the happiness in her eyes made Tim to felt the same about her, and after almost two years of relationship, the two lovers get married. But, they had no idea that their lives will be blown away, months after the big moment.
Shortly after the wedding, the young Canadian couple started to make plans and to talk about their future. As any other just married couple, they asked themselves if is the right moment to buy a house, to have some pets, or to have a kid.
Even if Bethani was ready for a baby, Tim considered they should wait a little bit, but there’s pretty hard to plan your pregnancy.
“My husband definitely wanted to wait a year. I was fine with whenever it ended up happening, but then we found out we were very excited, only thinking we were having one…” Bethani said.
As soon as she realized she was pregnant, Bethani and Tim went to the doctor for an ultrasound. And what happened in there, it’s something they’d remember as long as they’d live.
After positioning the ultrasound wand over her stomach, the doctor was happy to announce them that there isn’t just one child, but four identical quadruplets. Something truly incredible, if we’re thinking that the odds of having four identical babies are one to 13-70 million pregnancies. More than that, neither Tim or Bethani had a history of multiples or even twins in their family.
“I could not believe it, I was in such shock. Honestly, I thought the ultrasound tech was joking. I couldn’t believe it… It was a good thing that my husband was sitting down because he almost fainted,” Bethani recalled.
After nine months, the woman gave birth to four identical, healthy girls, Abigail, McKayla, Grace, and Emily.
Still, the hardest part was yet to come, because raising a child nowadays could be so difficult, but four, something unimaginable. But the couple was so lucky to have such good hearted neighbors. People from their hometown have started a fundraiser to make sure they’ll have anything they need. “It’s really amazing because there would be no way we could do this by ourselves,” the couple declared.
Even if they never imagined to have four children before the girls to be born, now the couple says they never been happier. “I think my husband has gotten used to the idea that there are four babies, but I don’t think he’s gotten used to the idea that there are four identical girls,” Bethani Webb told.
There will definitely be plenty of arguments, broken hearts or blunders in the years to come, but they both Tim and Bethani know it’s worth it to raise this precious quadruplet girls.
