Dozens of ducklings created the world’s cutest traffic jam

For wild creatures is impossible to comply with our infrastructures, therefore it is our duty to act properly and protect them. This is exactly what happened days ago in a Maine city, where drivers get stuck in a traffic jam.

The reason? Well, a mother duck was trying to guide her 45 ducklings across a busy five-lane road, Associated Press reports. Since the super-mom took the little ones across in two waves, one of 22 and another of 23, it took a while until the whole fluffy balls flock safely cross the road. And thankfully, the drivers wait patiently.

The adorable scene was caught on camera by Biddeford resident, Karen Ramunno. The result?…the world’s cutest traffic jam. She then, shared the adorable video on Facebook.

“Proof that there are more good people in this world than bad! Not one person in the 2 lines of traffic were beeping or impatient with these guys! Even the last 2 stragglers!” Karen wrote in the caption.

Most likely, the adult duck wasn’t the mother of all the ducklings. According to bird experts, one possible explanation for the abnormally large brood is that some bird species will group fledglings together to make it easier to care for them, Associated Press reports.

Therefore, this isn’t the first time an adult duck is taking care of such a large group of ducklings. A wildlife photographer recently spotted a duck with more than 76 ducklings, on a Minnesota lake.

“I was able to then count 76 babies with her, so she had picked up more babies along the way,” the wildlife photographer Brent Cizek said. “It’s been remarkable. It’s going to be a sad day when they continue their migration.”
