Driver sees boy crying as he steps on bus, looks at his hands and jumps into action

As the state of Washington meet the ocean, it climate is quite rainy and being also a mountainous region, during the winter season, the state is covered in snow. Even so, the temperatures are pretty acceptable during the winter, but sometimes the weather can feel downright frigid.

So when the temperatures are low, everyone is bundle up, especially the little kids in their way to school. Anyway, there are situations when the kids could lose or forget their hats. Or, there are sadly situation when the parents cannot afford the proper winter gear for their children, so the little ones must find a way to stay warm when they head off to school..

Recently, John Lunceford, a driver on a school bus, was almost in tears when he saw this tiny student. While the little boy stepped into the bus, tears streaming down his face, so the driver wanted to know what’s wrong with him…

The boy was waiting for the bus in the freeze without gloves on his hands or without wearing a hat, so because of that his ears and hands were so red and almost frozen. A U.S. Army veteran, John, quickly jumped into action. “I put my gloves on him and told him it’ll be OK, it’ll be OK,” recalled the driver.

But, that’s not all. after they arrived at school, John went straight to a local store and he bought 10 stocking hats and 10 pairs of gloves and than he went back to school to find the little boy. Helped by the school’s administrator he meet the student in the library, where John handed him a hat and a pair of gloves, to the happiness of the kid.

Then, the driver asked if there’s any other kid on his route who needed gloves or hats. “There was a little girl who said ‘I don’t have a hat,’ and I said I’ll take care of you, sweetie.”

Asked why he did such a generous gesture, John responded : “I’m a grandfather, you know. No one wants a kid to suffer like that.”

All my respect for you Mr. John!
