Fashion designer Maz Azria ditches $85M-worth Holmby Hills Estate

Noted fashion designers Max and Lubov Azria have ditched their super swanky $85 million Los Angeles  estate. The 30,000 square-foot Sunset mansion featuring 17 bedrooms and 33 bathrooms was purchased by the Azrias who undertook ample revamping and extension works which amounted to a staggering 30 million dollars.

Dubbed La Maison du Soleil, the mega-mansion also includes an oversized double-height entrance hall with a 150,000-crystal chandelier dropping from the ceiling to the floor, countless multicolored reception rooma and lounges, a silver-leafed formal dining room, a double-island kitchen with walk-in fridge, a screening room with tiered seating, an office with gold-leafed ceiling, a spacious master suite with his and her bathrooms and oversized dressing rooms.

The lavish grounds boast a sweeping drive and a sprawling parking lot, a black-and-white-marble-ceckerboard- floored dining patio, wide areas of generously watered lawns, five gardens, two greenhouses, several fireplaces, a zero-edge swimming pool and pool house complete with sauna and shower and a tennis court with elevated viewing box.

Max Azria, of Tunisian jewish descent, is the founder of BCBG Max Azria, famous women’s clothing brand, a global fashion housewith over 20 brands. His spouse, Lubov Azria, an American fashion designer born in Ukraine, is the Chief Creative Officer of the company. The couple’s estate portfolio includes a couple of condos in the Wishire Boulevard high rise, a walled gated retreat in a coveted West Hollywood neighborhood and a generously-sized condo on Fisher Island. There may be others but information is out of reach as yet.
