This first responder with the Santa Monica Fire Department in California proves that every life is worth fighting for, after he saved this little pup from a burning home. The apartment where Nalu and his mom lived was caught by flames and the poor animal was trapped inside it, but the firefighter Andrew Klein done everything he could to save the dog’s life.
And just when our here was trying to save the dog, Billy Fernando, a portrait photographer was driving when he spotted the scene. So he stopped and captured the heart melting moment on camera. However, the photographer wasn’t aware he was about to o witness a life being saved.
As I was standing outside, I saw the firefighter, Mr. Klein, running toward the curbside grass area carrying something,” Fernando told The Dodo. “I didn’t know what it was at first, but then I realized that it was a pet who had been trapped in the fire. The dog was unconscious, limp and not moving at all.
“Just a minute after, [the firefighter] began performing CPR on the pet without any hesitation. It was an awe-inspiring moment,” Fernando recalls.
And fortunately, his tireless efforts finally paid off as after 20 minutes, the dog showed signs of life. “The owner was in tears. Everyone was very happy with the ending,” Fernando added.
