An old viral video has recently regained popularity on Facebook. Initially shared a number of years ago, the adorable footage shows a dolphin playing with his best buddy, a dog. I know it sounds impossible, but it is as real as breathing.
Everybody meet Ben, the Donegal Labrador and his very best friend, Duggie, the dolphin. However, what’s actually unexpected is their habit not only happened once or twice, but regularly. It’s like Ben and Duggie created a daily routine out if it. According to the dog’s owner, the unlikely duo sometimes spend a couple of hours together. They can be seen almost every day off at Middletown, on Tory Island, Ireland.
According to locals, the dolphin was first spotted in the Middletown harbor in 2006, after lost its mate. A few years later, she was accidentally caught on camera by the BBC presenter Adam Henson, while playing with a dog. Of course, the “Countryfile” host couldn’t believe his eyes. “This is absolutely amazing…Swimming around in the water, I have never seen anything like it,” Hensen said.
Though a friendship between a dolphin and a dog sounds quite impossible, this wasn’t the first time the man’t best friend and a marine mammal are interacting. A few years ago, an adorable footage of a dolphin kissing a dog in a boat has left the viewers both stunned and heart-melted. Check it out!
