Hero Border Collie saves flock of sheep from wall of fire in Australia

When it comes to caring, nothing compares with a dog’s heart. Turns out, the man’s best friend is not only gentle and kind, but also incredible selfless. They’re capable to sacrifice themselves to save others. It’s also the case of this Border Collie in Australia

Amid the devastating bushfires in Australia, a 6-year-old working dog put his life on the line to save an entire flock of sheep. As the bushfires were getting closer to their farm in Corryong, Victoria, Australia, Patsy – the dog and his owner braved the danger to make sure the sheep are safe. But it was the dog’s heroic move that saved the day.

Somehow, the brave Border Collie, managed to round the sheep up and herded them away from the flames. And thanks to him, almost all the sheep are safe now. Taking the Instagram, Cath Hill, the sister of Patsy’s owner, shared a photo of the “wonder dog.”

“This is Patsy just after she and her human brought the sheep to safety on the morning of New Year’s Eve,” Cath wrote. “Cool as a cucumber, Patsy waited with him until the fire got close enough to fight with a tractor and water pump. What a team!”

According to Cath, her brother is still fighting the flames in Corryong, where things are getting worse. “Everyone is just trying to get water and feed to their animals,” she told Metro.co.uk. “They are expected to get worse around Thursday this week when hot windy weather returns.”

Despite living such desperate times, Cath hopes people remain positive as this is the only way to get through. She hopes Patsy’s story would a morale boost to those people. “It’s unbelievable and it’s only going to get worse. That’s why we put Patsy’s story out there. People need something positive,” the woman said.
