Banner is a really special dog. The 3-year-old Husky provides emotional support for her owner even since she was a little puppy. Since that very young age, Whitney Braley has trained her to assist her with a lot of things. The woman has a disability, so Banner wasn’t just a simply dog for her.
“She alerts to PTSD episodes, anxiety attacks, migraines, guide work, momentum pull, medication retrieval, self harm interruption and more,” the woman told Bored Panda. But Banner’s kindness doesn’t stop here. The pup also did a lot of rescues over the years and apparently she has a great fond of kittens. In fact she even was adoptive mom for those she rescued.
“She does lot of rescue, and she’s always attached to kittens,” Whitney said. “Two years ago I had my first bottle baby kitten that was found in a ditch, and Banner raised her. That particular cat still lives with us but she’s fostered at least ten different litter of kittens over the years.”
However, there was one particularly rescue that deeply touched both Banner and Whitney. At a time they went for a walk, the sharp-eyed pup made a strange discovery and immediately alerted her owner. Whitney couldn’t believed her eyes when spotted a box full of kittens. There were seven little souls, not old than a day. Since the moment she spotted them, Banner won’t leave their side.
“Someone must have just put them there… and left them there to die,” Whitney told in an interview with Metro. “They probably thought that no one would ever discover them. I don’t even know how Banner knew they were in there. The kittens were freezing and weren’t meowing or anything.”
They took the kittens home and gladly, they all survived. And with Banner fostering them, the poor little things have all made it through. Whitney decided to take care of them and to try to fin some lovely families to adopt them, all by herself, instead of taking them to shelter.

“Now I will find the kittens appropriate homes, that will love them forever,”she said. “I’m so happy that now because of Banner, these kittens will go on to live their lives with loving families. It warms my heart.”
The heroic dog is continuing to rescue kittens in need and to take care of them as they’re her own puppies!
