This quick-thinking boy is hailed as a hero, after he miraculously saved both his mom and his newborn brother’s life!
Ashly Moreau from Sulphur, Louisiana, went into labor nearly six weeks sooner than she expected. The woman was at home, in the bathroom went the water broke, and she didn’t know what to do. But fortunately, the help she needed came from where she expected the less – from her 10-year-old son, Jayden.

Ashly’s fiance, Kelsey Richard was at work, so when she noticed the baby’s feet she immediately called Jayden and asked him to announce his grandmother who was living next door. However, since the old woman was recovering from a surgery, the best she could do was to call 991. But Jayden returned into the bathroom to try to help his mother.

The woman realized that the baby was in the breech position, and she knew she had to act quickly in order to avoid any complications. So her only hope was Jayden.
“I said to him, ‘You’re going to have to deliver your brother, and we have to do it fast because the baby’s feet are turning blue and he can’t breathe,'” the woman told TODAY. “He said, ‘Tell me what I need to do and I’ll do it.'”

Jayden has carefully followed his mom’s instructions and that way he managed to deliver his baby brother. But he soon realized, the little one wasn’t breathing, so the 10-year-old got the nasal aspirator and used it to pump air into his newborn brother’s mouth. Soon after, the little one started to breath normally!
“‘I was crying, but I just tried to stay calm and collected,” Ashly said. “Jayden was so calm that it made me more calm. I could see he was scared, but he knew he had to do it.”

But Jayden’s heroic actions didn’t stopped there. Since Ashly went into labor much earlier than planned, she suffered a few complications, but her son keep her alive. Shortly after, the ambulance arrived, and both the mother and the new born were taken to the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
Both the mother and the baby are alive, thanks to this 10-year-old hero!
“I said to Jayden, ‘You’ll always have a special bond with your brother,'” the 36-year-old woman said. “I’m just so proud of him. He saved our lives.”
