Heroic police dog badly wounded saving handler’s life leaves everyone in tears

Dogs are incredible creatures, but this one is above that. A police officer from Buntingford and his canine companion have managed to absolutely steal the show after they brought everyone in tears at Britain’s Got Talent

After Dave Wardell went on stage alone he just said: “I’ve brought a friend along.” And it turned out to be a four-legged one, named Finn.

“Finn is a nine-year-old German Shepherd. He’s been my best friend since he was a puppy,” the police officer explained. “Finn has a bit of a cheeky character. He knows how to get exactly what he wants from me – he knows how to pull all my bells and whistles. He’s one very special dog.”

After that, the duo stunned both the judges and the audience with their trick. And while their performance goes on, the screen behind them was sliding their incredible story. The moment put tears in everyone’s eyes.

The bond between Finn and Dave experienced a dramatic moment earlier this year. While on mission, Finn was wounded, sacrificing himself for his partner. The brave dog miraculously managed to survive.

Their story was so impressive that even Simon got emotional.

“If I had a golden buzzer left I’d give it to you. When I hear about animals treated bad, especially dogs, it upsets me. A dog will literally give up its life for you. Finn’s beautiful, I love him,” Simon said.

As expected, Dave and his best friend, Finn got four yeses from the judges.

“There isn’t a bigger stage than Britain’s Got Talent. Dogs like Finn are out there day and night doing incredible work. If I can tell Finn’s story, showcase service animals and talk about Finn’s law, I’ve already won.

“My day job is running through gardens at 3am chasing after car thieves, so you can imagine walking out in front of thousands of people in front of four of the most famous people in the land. It was surreal, ” Dave told the Mirror.

Watch their incredible performance, bellow!
