Dogs have such forgiving, loving natures and this moving story proves it, once again. When Annie Hart from Rescue From The Hart received an urgent call about a homeless poodle who had been hit by a car, she rushed to find her.
Helped by another volunteer, the kind-hearted woman spotted the bedraggled Poodle hunched on the side of the road. She was dirty, hurt and scared when the woman first approached her. And frequently, in situations like this, when the poor dog is confused and frightened, it could easily run away. But, Annie could not believed her eyes of what unexpected behavior this helpless dog had.
Instead of running away or getting scared as she was injured, the pup did something that brought tears in her rescuers eyes. The entire scene was filmed and the result is one of the most touching, heartbreaking human-dog interactions I’ve ever seen.
The rescuers named the dog Layla on the way to hospital. Layla had some serious injuries and needed emergency surgery, but she pulled through. She spent two weeks in hospital, but she was regularly visited by her first-time foster parents to get doses of love and attention. It is just unbelievable what special creatures dogs are!
