Former American model and actress Jaime King has put her knowledge of interior design into decorating her luxury home in Beverly Hills which she shares with her husband Kyle Neman, film producer, director, writer, editor and actor and their son James.
Being very creative as a child, the 34-year-old actress has an open mind about style and a personal philosophy regarding home decorating, namely the things in your digs have got to be meaningful rather than pricey and countless. Hart of Dixie star lined the shallow pool in her home’s entry hall with Ann Shacks-designed aqua tile so that the whole interior is in perfect harmony with nature.
The master bedroom boasts a snug sitting area, a Farrow & Ball wallpaper and a large print by artist Bella Bigsby in green shades matching the view that can be seen through the window.
The master bath is minimalistic, featuring faux conctrete walls and skylights. The living room has extra lasting laqueur and a velvet settee renders the room a feeling of coziness. The glass-enclosed dining area contains custom-made furniture which yields a zen feel. Jaime and Kyle did most of the decorating themselves, although some of their friends lent them a hand, like Katy Perry and Thom Filicia. The kitchen has state of the art appliances and walls of glass overlooking the lush grounds with eco-friendly grass – ‘forever lawn,’ which King saw at her friend Jessica Alba, where they have enjoyable slumber parties.
