Leonardo DiCaprio’s Malibu pricey retreat for sale

American actor and film producer Leonardo DiCaprio has just listed his Malibu home at $19 million, more than three times the sum he paid for it eleven years ago. Last year the retreat was put up for rent for a staggering $75,000 per month but only a few months later he downloaded it for $23M, without any success, though. This is how the luxury home came to have its price tag slashed to $18.9 million.

The 7-bedroom and 6-bathroom home is located in a neighborhood dotted with homes owned by celebrities. Built in 1927, the compound is composed of three buildings very close to the beach. The recently renovated open plan living areas are modern and opulent despite the 1920s exterior design. The main chromatic of the ample interior space is blue and grey hues and the seaside feel is strengthened by the wooden-beamed low ceilings. The three building of the estate feature wooden floors throughout and listing details include an outdoor sundeck and a Jacuzzi in the courtyard area, an indoor gym, a kitchen in the main house and one in the guest house.

The whole style of DiCaprio’s Californian residence is fit for “The Great Gatsby” star and offers the utmost in privacy and a marvelous seaside view. However, he is selling the beach abode as he currently spends less time on the West Coast. He prefers his Battery Park penthouse in New York and is rumored to be hunting for another home in Manhattan.
