Luxury Maldives hotel is hiring an intern to look after their turtles

If type ”dream job” on Google, I am pretty sure a description of this vacancy at a luxury Maldives resort will probably come up.

Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu just showed their intention of hiring an intern to work in its turtle rescue centre, this summer. Of course, all the expenses will be covered. You’re unconvinced yet? Let me explain it.  Spend your summer lounging on the beach, splashing in the blue waves, and occasionally feeding turtles. Nature’s most chilled out and lovely reptile. Aside from the glistening ocean and beautiful beaches, all your accommodation and food is paid for while you’re there.

Needless to say, the resort is absolutely picturesque. The only catch is that the job is an unpaid internship for two weeks in August. However, with everything paid for, it is essentially a free holiday to the Maldives. You can’t complain too much.

As about the job responsibilities, you’ll be working with the UK’s leading turtle vet Dr Claire Petros, and will be involved with many aspects of turtle conservation and rehabilitation. You can enjoy feeding the turtles, cleaning tanks, and observing surgeries and medical procedures. And the best part is you won’t need any medical background – you’re only observing. You will also attend rescue missions to collect turtles who need help and assist with the release of rehabilitated turtles back into the ocean.
