Man breaks out in tears when reunite with 19-year-old cat, seven years after went missing

As an animal lover, I just can’t even imagine how it feels like to lose one of my beloved furry companions. Unfortunately, there have been so many pet owners forced to meet such a heartbreaking experience. Robert is one of those devastated people. Yet, his story has a happy ending.

It’s been seven years since Robert’s beloved companion went missing. Just days before they were supposed to move from California to Ohio. As you can imagine, the poor man was absolutely heart-broken. In fact, he even post-phoned his plans to move out, hoping he’ll find Chebon. Unfortunately, even after a year, there was no sign of him.

“I remember at one point I was praying and I said, ‘God, I’ll do anything, just bring my Chebon back,’” Robert said in a video posted on the Ventura County Animal Services on their Facebook page

As time passed by, Robert has tried to accept that his cat was gone, for good. However, deep in his heart, he never lost hope. And recently, after almost seven years, the miracle happened. The man received a phone call that left him speechless – it said his cat was find alive. “I was afraid there was some kind of mistake,” he said.

Next moment, Robert booked a ticked to Los Angeles, where the Ventura Animals center is located, to finally met his old friend. And the moment they’ve seen each other after so many years is so moving. “Everyone in that room — there was another animal control officer and she was crying, I was tearing up,” Randy Friedman at Ventura County Animal Services, told The Dodo. “It was amazing from beginning to end — and it was all because of a microchip. ”

Here’s the touching reunion:
