The former NY Giants defensive end, Michael Strahan, and his wife, model Nicole Mitchell (Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife) are reportedly in contract to shell out $16 million on a mega-mansion in Brenthood, Los Angeles.
The three-story luxuriously appointed residence, sprawled over 15,600 square feet, encompasses nine bedroom suites and 11 full and 3 half bathrooms. Highlights of the airy interior include French doors and windows, French white oak floors and tray ceilings, a cavernous entry hall and a spacious adjacent formal living room, both with 20-ft boxed wood ceilings, black glass chandeliers. The main living space includes a large formal dining room, a den with built-in entertainment center and a library with panelled walls and surmounted fireplace. On the main floor are also two powder rooms, two guest bedrooms with private baths, an open-concept great room made up of an informal dining area opening to the back yard, a center island kitchen with white cabinets, slab marble counters and state of the art appliances. There are another two fully-furnished bedrooms on the basement and a windowless area. Among the entertainment spaces are also a spacious theater, a snooker room, a high-end art gym and and a bar area are worth mentioning. The walled, double gated property was designed by noted architect Winston Brock Chappell.

The couple have nine children altogether, she has five kids with Eddy Murphy and he has four from his two previous wives but it is not certain how many live with them. The mansion is so large that they can all share it without intruding into one another’s privacy.
