Naturally cats are pretty asocial animals. In fact, even their owners presence might be disturbing sometimes. Therefore we haven’t heard to often of kittens forming bonds with other animals. Well, it is not the case of Louis – a very atypical cat
Ever since he was juts a kitten, Louis shared his adoptive mom passion for horses. So it didn’t took too long until he fell in love with one of the horses. At first his owner, Emma Massingale – a professional horse trainer based in North Devon, England, thought it would be something temporarily. Bur she was wrong.
“He started off just following me to the stable and walking along the walls or fences nudging the horses with his head,” Emma told Love Meow. “Then he started to jump on their backs and sit there or jump on and then off the other side to get somewhere.”
Comet, the cat’s favorite horse has also enjoyed the little one’s presence. Over the years the two developed a lovely, yet unlikely bond. And now, six years later Louis and Comet are exploring places together, all day long.
“Comet and Louis seem to be a good combo. If he wants the horse to stop he bites the pony’s mane. It’s crazy but funny to watch,” Emma said. “If Louis gets bored he just jumps off but he seems to love it as he stays up there for ages.” It is always so inspiring and adorable to see animals of different kinds interacting in such a lovely way as these two does!
