Built in 1953, the two-story contemporary home underwent some expansion work so that now it sprawls across 2,892 square feet in celebrity studded Oaks neighborhood in Los Feliz, L.A. and its recently renovated indoor space encompasses 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The open-concept main living area with white wood flooring throughout includes a foyer with built-in cabinets, the living room has vaulted ceilings and a concrete fireplace and  the adjacent office/den features a sliding glass wall which opens to the backyard. The sky-lit dining room nextdoor has also access to the backyard through glass doors and to a sky-lit kitchen custom-fitted with shiny white cabinets, open shelves, a dog-feeding station and top of the range appliances. On the main floor are 2 family bedrooms sharing a large hall bathroom. On the first landing on the right there is a long narrow bedroom with attached bathroom and on the left there is a short hall lined with closets and sliding glass doors opening to a tiny balcony. The master bedrrom comprises a sitting area and features clerestory windows and bulky  wood-paneled ceiling and the attached master bathroom is quite well appointed.

Ms Lawson paid $1,775,000  for the pad in 2011, at which time it had faux-rustic/ modern organic architectural details, such as wood paneling in the office/den and wood trim work framing doors and windows, and she entirely altered the up-sloping backyard with terraces, a solar-heated swimming pool and spa and a lighting system for the backyard. So the new owner will enjoy modern facilities in a 60-year-old home.
