Shakira ditched her $15M Miami Beach retreat

“The Voice” judge and immensely popular international pop singer Shakira sold her beachfrontNorth Bay Road manse facing the Julia Tuttle Causeway for $15 million in the summer of 2013. After 12 years of ownership, she decided to unload the luxury retreat  and buy a 6,672 square foot mansion with 3 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms for $3.38M on South Beach. It appears trippled the profit on the recently sold home, since she paid $3.38 million back in 2001.

Columbian born singer and song writer made some improvements to her “ Zen sanctuary,” adding 3 bedrooms and 4 baths as well as an extra 1,700 square feet. The fully renovated house features light wood floors throughout and high-end chef’s kitchen equipped with Miele appliances and sub-Zero refrigerator. On the second level there is a spacious master bedroom with an adhacent nursery/ office. The 8,400 square feet residence house also includes guest quarters and an exercise room.

A high street-side wall  separates the estate from the curious eyes and outdoors there is a swimming pool surrounded by a hardwood deck and a poolside cabana while the backyard leads ends with a private dock  leading to the bay (Biscane Bay). The star-studded neighbourhood boasts ressidents like Alex Rodrigues, Matt Damon Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez.
