Step inside Grammy-winning producer Zedd’s $16m mansion

He’s biggest passion is music, but what we haven’t knew yet is that Zedd is passionate by architecture too. Grammy-winning songwriter and music producer  Anton Zaslavski, known as Zedd decided to decorate himself his 9,400-square-foot home.

Located on Benedict Canyon Drive in Beverly Hills, the mansion is an architectural piece of art. “I saw an ad for this house, which was way too expensive, but I asked if I could look at it for inspiration—like, if I wanted to build my own house. I drove down the gate of the house and my brain went immediately to: ‘This is something Steve Jobs would have enjoyed’,”said the artist.  So, after a short tour of the house, he decided to buy it. “When you buy something of this size you question every little thing. But this is really as close to perfect a house for me as I can get.” The mansion’s decoration is still in progress as Zaslavski is working now to transform the four-car garage into his music studio. Beside that there’s a lot of work to do, but the musician is excited about that because as he declared laughing “the goal is to never have to leave.”

When you step inside you’ll discover an architectural heaven. Getting ideas from the internet, Zedd managed to create his own paradise. He used pieces of furniture from his previous house, but he also bought some decorative elements like the art collection. “I follow a bunch of architecture sites I get inspiration from, and I’ve always been into really modern, slick, sharp corners,” he said.

“Symmetry is probably the most important thing to me. I have friends who have ultramodern homes and the only thing you can imagine is having a party there. You can’t imagine just laying on the couch,” added the artist.

The mansion’s interior is not finished yet, and that’s because surprisingly, Zedd doesn’t use an interior designer. Anyway he’s confident he’ll finish the job and the result will be as he expects – a quite place where to find his music inspiration. “Because I work on so much music, I think silence is the most enjoyable part,” explains Zaslavski.
