The star-studded affluent city of Malibu, in Los Angeles County, California, boasts the company of, among other residents (Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel, Danny DeVito, Dustin Hoffman, Ray Romano, Jami Gertz or Pierce Brosnan are just a few of them), noted film director Steven Spielberg, three-time Academy Award winner who owns a little over one acre of prime land.

The 7,237-square-foot compound sitting on a double lot with lush lawn and 130 feet of beach frontage includes a 7-bedroom and 9-bathrrom main house, a two-bedroom guest house, a private study, a massage room and, naturally, a theater room. The Star Wars director has the luxury Creftsman-inspired spread on the market to be rented out and, among those who aforded to pay $125K per month the Beckhams are worth mentioning. Mr Spielberg purchased the bigger of the two lots in 1989 for $3.375M and 12 years later he paid $3.191 for the adjacent lot, so the total amount of money he paid for the whole property was $6,566,000. The main house is sprawled on 7,237 square feet and apart from the 4 bedrooms on the ground floor and the 3 others on the second floor, there is a superb master suite with a view to the ocean and a flexi-use space. The living room and the master bedroom have a fireplace each. The wind-protected courtyard has multi-level decks, a swimming pool and spa and is surrounded by the main house.
