Quebec’s priciest residential estate sold for nearly $30M

World-wide famous Canadian singer Celine Dion has finally sold her French-Norman inspired chateau in Quebec for a reportedly $28.2 million. The singer and her husband put the luxury residence up for sale last year because the pair did not have enough time to spend in it, and it is too big for their needs, according to Ross McCredie, the president and CEO of Sotheby’s International Canada. The 24,000-square-foot custom-built and slate-roofed stone mansion is set the 830,000-suare-foot secluded gated, security-guarded island near Laval, Île Gagnon and has been sold with most of its contents, except for the singer’s “personal effects.”
