Venus Williams ditches her Hollywood Hills pied-a-terre

World champion tennis player  Venus Williams has recently listed her Hollywood Hills pied-a-terre at a $100,000 loss. Situated at in the heart of Nichols Canyon, the luxury residence was bought eight years ago for $1.9 million but now has an asking price of $1,799,000. Nichols Canyon, which is located in the Los Angeles County  area of the Hollywood Hills, begins at Hollywood Boulevard and ends just below Mulholland Drive.

The modern mid-century 1,528-square-foot home includes 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and features wood posts and beams throughout, the light-flooded flowing space being suitably appointed for entertainment. The state of the art kitchen comes complete with a wine refrigerator. Outdoors the gated property boasts a charming backyard with a large sparkling pool and deck in the middle of a grassy area overlooking stunning canyon views.

The tennis ace, with a net worth of approximately $60 million, also owns an 8,478-square-foot property in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida  together with her sister, Serena Williams, each having her own wing and sharing the common areas.

Venus is the first African American to have won the No.1 title in tennis and the first woman to get prize money on par with another Wimbledon champion, Roger Federer, in the 2007 championship. She has won 21 Grand Slams and 3 Olympic gold medals and has the fastest serve among the women tennis players at 128.6 mph.
