This marvellous five-storey doll’s house in central London has just been listed by Savills estate agents for £25,000. The exquisite Barbie –like House boasts individually laid parquet floors, hand-crafted furniture, Nina Campbell walpapers and remote control lighting. Ten percent of the proceeds will go to charity.
The house includes a hand-painted Beatrix Potter themed nursery with wooden flooring, a Dragons cot bed, a luxury Moses basket, a toy box, chest of drawers and changer. There are also two kitchens, a dining room, three bedrooms, an intricately furnished master bedroom, library, bathroom, utility room, a private garage and. Of course, a drawing room. Highlights of the drawing room include dark wood floors, a chandelier, gold silk curtains, an Aubusson rug and French furniture.
The dool’s house, which weighs 160 kilos, took three months to complete. The parquet flooring alone took 14 hours to put in and polish. When work on it started there was a choice of 525 interior design ideas and each of the 15 rooms needed 35 interior design decisions. The perfect attention to detail is to be seen in the stunning price tag. If it were a real property, measuring 4,198 square feet, the estate would be listed at about £15 million.
