There are some extremely rare animal species on Earth. Among them are white tigers and white lions. It is estimated to be no more than 1,200 white tigers in the world. As about white lions, there are around 300 individual in the world. However, there are some creatures even more breathtaking – ligers.
Ligers are a combination of white lions and tigers. It’s actually a premiere in the animal world. All this after a sanctuary has successfully bred this two species together. The T.I.G.E.R. Sanctuary in Myrtle Beach in South Carolina is the place where this gorgeous ligers cubs were born. Named Yeti, Odlin, Sampson and Apollo, these adorable creatures look like kittens. But shortly, they will turn into some really big cats…
Still, it is not the first time when this sanctuary is breeding ligers. They are also famous for hosting the biggest cat in the world, according to Guinness Book of World Records. It’s called Hercules and he’s also a liger. And actually a very big one as Hercules is 922 pounds. Anyway, beside this, he’s still adorable and very playful.
The four sweet little cubs are currently living with their parents, Ivory and Saraswati in the T.I.G.E.R. Sanctuary. And they are growing bigger every day as gaining almost a pound of weight daily. Even the founder of the sanctuary is amazed by their appetite. Dr. Antle declared : “I skip a day seeing them and it looks like they’ve doubled in size. It’s like someone’s blowing them up with a tire pump.”
Yeti seems to be the most boisterous of them as he always looks to be into the spotlight. A fair thing if we think that he’s the biggest of the four adorable cats. In less than two years the cubs should be at leat 10 feet tall. Their weight should also be around 750 pounds!
